NAEAP
Our Story
NAEAP began with a moment that changed everything.
It started with a story one we’ve seen far too often. An elderly woman, living safely in her own home, began showing subtle signs of fear and withdrawal. She stopped talking as much. She hesitated before asking for help. Her family assumed it was a normal part of aging. With no training, no reporting guidance, and no structured oversight in place, no one recognized the early red flags. Months later, the truth surfaced: the privately paid caregiver hired to support her had been mistreating her. One simple safety checklist… one background check… one conversation about warning signs… could have protected her. Her pain could have been prevented.
We knew then: too many seniors are left vulnerable simply because families and providers aren’t given the tools they need.
NAEAP was born to change that.
Today, we are a national movement dedicated to protecting seniors through awareness, education, and practical resources. We offer free partnerships, safety guides, checklists, and ongoing support—because preventing elder abuse should be simple, accessible, and something we all take part in.

Our promise is clear: No senior should ever become another preventable story. Join us as we work to ensure every older adult is respected, protected, and safe.
